Improvisation Workshop
Instructor: Roy Barry
The Improv Workshop is for the actor who wants to open his awareness, his creativity and learn how the moment to moment experience brings spontaneity to his work. Improvisation work makes the actor aware of the value and use of real-life response in drama and comedy. Note: In this workshop improvisation is explored as a tool for character/scene development and not comedic effect. Comedic elements are accessed more as a result of truthful exploration. We work specific structured improvs as well as simple imagination improvs. We seek to refine logic, quickness of responses, and freedom of impulse and expression. This workshop is a must for the beginner as well as the professional to sharpen his/her craft.
